One of my favorite places to visit every summer is Mackinac Island. I grew up going to the island every summer and after college spent a summer working at Grand Hotel as an Event Manager. My husband also proposed on Arch Rock so this little Island holds a special place in my heart!
Elizabeth and her bridal party were pampered in Astor's Salon while the guys celebrated with a drink at the Cupola Bar with panoramic views of the Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinac Bridge. Elizabeth and Onder shared their first look on the worlds longest front porch in the world and I just love they way he lit up seeing his bride for the first time. After the Ceremony the couple trotted around this island on Grand Hotels 1900's Victoria carriage. These Hackney horses are incredibly beautiful and FAST! Guest enjoyed cocktails on the front porch before heading into the the Theater for dinner and dancing.
I just love planning Mackinac Island weddings and sharing all of my island secrets and expertise with my couples!

WE DID IT AGAIN!!! Thanks to all of our couples leaving us sweet reviews to help us win the Knot Best of Weddings 2018! Seriously the best wedding season yet!
This Michigan Barn wedding was one of my all-time favorites. Laura and Eddie are stationed over sea’s serving in the military. Cherry Barc Farms is such a special venue owned by a sweet family. Farm animals include, goats, pigs, ducks and kitties! The reception area inside the barn was gorgeous from the twinkle lights, the table settings, and personal framed pictures hung above the head table. This fun country wedding was both sweet and rustic.
Laura and Eddie wanted all of their friends and family to come together to have FUN and that’s just what their wedding guests did. I love all the personal touches they incorporated into their wedding day. From the guys dressed in tropical shirts, to the bride’s favorites Dunkaroo’s on the dessert table. One of my favorite moments from the day was the Bride’s epic dance with her dad! Everyone was on their feet dancing and cheering.
Let me tell you about the food! We had two amazing food trucks. Pie Hole and Monkey Business serving up some of Michigan’s most delicious truck food I have ever had! Pie Hole had the most amazing homemade sauce and delicious pepperoni. The sliders from Monkey Business were scrumptious!
Guests danced the night away sipping Moscow mule and Cuba Libre as the sunset over the field. Laura and Eddie slipped away across the street for some epic photos during the golden hour with the uber-talented Abbey Moore Photography.
Although wedding planning has come to an end, I will miss our skype meetings and Laura’s detailed birds eye view diagrams. I’m so grateful our paths crossed and we could be part of your wedding day. I'm excited to see this couple’s European adventures with their sweet pup, Eleanor. Thank you for serving our country!

Here is a look inside our lakeside wedding, I can't believe it's been 6 years! Our wedding vision was beachy, romantic and most of all we wanted to our guest to have fun! We found the perfect secluded location on the shores of Lake Huron. We personalized the wedding details to follow our love story, which included the catered menu reflecting our first date of Italian food, our favorite signature drinks, and our wedding favors were a donation to St. Jude.
Hope you enjoyed!

Wishing a very happy 1st anniversary to our Mitten Weddings couple Janelle and Matt! The couple tied the knot at Riverside Receptions in Centerville, Michigan. It rained all morning long and we had been watching the weather radar hoping it would clear up in time for the ceremony. They were calling for rain all day and we had prepared to move the ceremony under a pavilion. Literally 4 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, the skies opened and the sun began to shine! With the help of the venue team, we quickly moved the ceremony next to the river and Janelle and Matt had their dream ceremony. We love working with the super talented photographers from The DeLauras based out of California. Scroll down to view this gorgeous Michigan riverside wedding and a lavender toss.
Cheers to Friday! Here is one of my all time favorite mules!

Not into whiskey? Try Valentine Vodka to keep it Michigan. Moscow Mule mugs also make great wedding favors with a custom wedding logo!

The weekend is finally here! Shannon and Mark are tying the knot! These two met in Detroit when Mark was on duty and the rest was history. I love how Detroit details they are including in their special day. There two are seriously the sweetest and I've never had a group of wedding vendors so excited to see their wedding day come together. Here are a few of their epic engagement photo's taken by Lars at Detroit Photo Company.
Lindsey and Clay had a classic blush and gold black tie wedding at The Baronette Renaissance Detroit Novi Hotel. The first look took place outside of the hotel and Clay’s reaction was priceless. I, seriously just love first looks!
The wedding party took pictures all over Detroit and they tied the knot at Sweetest Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. This church is absolutely stunning from the stained glass windows to the delicate details in the ceiling. This church actually holds the record for the longest aisle in Michigan!
I had so much fun getting to know Lindsey who is a fellow boss lady helping people all across the US reach their health goals. Scroll below to fall in love with this timeless wedding captured by Detroit Photo Company.

Caitlyn and Scott's gorgeous lakefront wedding had a fresh, feminine color palette of blush, ivory and navy. Their classic Michigan waterfront wedding took place at Bay Pointe Inn in Shelbyville. Every detail from flowers to the bar sign was a glimpse of the couples fun personalities. I had an incredibly hard time narrowing down the photo's taken by the talented Weddings by Adrienne & Amber. We had so much fun working with Caitlyn! She is a school teacher turned successful realtor agent , buying and selling home with The Perna Team, Keller Williams Realty team!
